Steve Davis wins World Snooker Championship 1984 (Part 1)

Steve Davis led Jimmy White 12 frames to 4 after the first day of the Embassy World Championship final in 1984. Jimmy White showed himself a fierce competitor and clawed his way back to 17-16.

After having lost the previous frame by a marvellous clearance by White, Davis looked to be struggling. In the end it’s a visibly relieved Steve Davis that manages to fall over the line.
