Great video, where did you find it?
English Billiards, which was once the most popular cue sport game in the British Empire
hi, just a question: what is this game??? i had never seen this before…
532 bt Lindrum and 995 by Newman! Brilliant!
Ref was Charlie Chambers. This wasn’t an exhibition though, Daily Mail, or Emperor News, or something? Big pro event of that day.
This is classic vintiage!!
Excellent!
Amazing. Those were the days!
Nee way…..! 995 break???? Thats awesome……!
This is clearly an exhibition. The interesting thing is i think the referee is the famous thurston’s referee Tom Chambers, who was regarded in the 1920s and 1930s as the best billiards referee. Great players, great play. Thanks so much for posting.
A wonderful exhibition of billiards which not only shows magnificent play but which allows us to contrast the playing styles of the past with today’s post-Joe Davis stance, bridge length, cueing and cue grip. Did you notice that their chin is not always scraping their chins?? It is so wonderful to see footage of these great players from the past – it would be great so see more if there is more available.
i ross our standard last night was nearly as good eh
FRANKIE!!! good vid like, these 2 are nearly as good as me n u
