I not sure I understand…but I think he said that if you practice, you will improve…in other words improvement comes through practice, such that by practicing, one can expect that improvement will follow. I suppose this means that improvement is the result of practice – and not just any practice, but the practice of “fundamentals.”

I’m confused. Is he saying that you need to practise? That you improve when you practise something? Practising helps you improve?
